This week is National Women in Construction Week. West Michigan Works! is highlighting the career and job opportunities for women in this growing industry. Women hold just 14% of the 179,300 jobs in Michigan construction and only 11% of the apprenticeships.

Lakeshore Advantage awards $1.8M to 187 small businesses

The economic development organization distributed Michigan Small Business Survival Grant funds in Allegan and Ottawa counties. Recipients, who face significant financial hardship due to the pandemic, will be able to use the money to reopen or remain open.
