2024 Promise Scholars share how they are will pursue their dreams

Community Foundation of the Holland/Zeeland Area has awarded academic scholarships to 15 students as part of the Holland/Zeeland Promise. Those students share where they will study and their career plans.

Jaquelin Barajas — mentor to many — is Michigan Youth of the Year

Jaqulin Barajas is the second Boys and Girls Club of Holland Youth of the Year to take home the state award in as many years. Last year, Isabel Shepard rose to compete at the national level. Barajas is a mentor to many both at the Club and in schools and the community.
